Dr. Kleinbaum is a Board-certified medical oncologist and hematologist. He received his bachelor’s degree in psychology from Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois, and completed his medical training at Sackler School of Medicine in Ramat Aviv, Israel, before transferring to Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, where he graduated with his medical degree. He went on to attend an internal medicine residency and a hematology-oncology fellowship at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, Texas. During his fellowship tenure, Dr. Kleinbaum managed many complex hematologist and oncologist problems. He also served as Chief Fellow during this time and supported the development of academic curricula for Baylor College of Medicine’s fellowship program.
Dr. Kleinbaum’s care approach begins with effective communication and is centered on shared decision-making, ensuring his patients are involved in every stage of the process and educated in their diagnoses and treatment options to make better-informed health decisions. He has been providing cancer care in the Houston area since 2006.
He enjoys gourmet cooking, a result of his time spent traveling the world, and competitive sports.

Going to the doctor can be a scary ordeal especially when you are a new patient & in uncharted territories. I am severely anemic, diagnosed with MS & was sent to Dr Kleinbaum to discuss infusion options as my low iron levels are interfering with my daily activities. Absolutely hands down one of the most knowledgeable, caring & comfortable experiences I’ve ever had with a doctor (I wished they all were that way!). He took the time to explain things in great detail & was extremely thorough in his approach. His staff is equally top notch & on top of things - providing friendly quick service with a smile.
